I am saddened by the news as I love her uplifting music and such an anointed voice. I was searching for her today 13.03.13 when I discovered this news. She has gained and we thank God for the race she run and the legacy she has left behind. Her soul rest in peace.

God bless

I was sad to read of Janny's passing. She helped me learn a lot of scriptures. She was truly anointed as a singer and song writer.

I was only 17 when I met Janny and her family. I came and stayed at their house for a week in Tampa, FL because a friend of mine, Rue, was going to sing a duet with her at the New Year's Eve Concert. She let me run the sound equipment while they sang. Thank you Janny, that was one of the highlights of my life. I can remember her announcing that night they her family wanted to adopt their son. I am so sad to hear she is gone, but she is right where she wanted to be, in heaven with the Lord. My heart goes out her family. Love you Janny!

I WAS thinking about Janny and looking her up to see if she had any new music I could buy and am shocked that she passed away over a year ago :( how sad. She was the best songwriter/singer ever. Her book is one of the best ever written. See U in heaven Janny!

I have just put the Beginnings Concert on this morning & listening to Janny I felt led to go to her website and like all these others was very shocked to hear Janny finally won her race and had gone home to be with The Lord.
I will always remember the way I have been ministered to through the wonderful songs and music which Janny recorded and I thank God for the Beginnings Concertfor which I would never of heard of Janny Grein.

Loved Janny's music, made a difference in our lives, changed my husband for ever. She was an inspiration to the body of Christ. Loved the gift God gave her.

I am reading post after post of how so many of us, recently "just started thinking about Janny", and "looked her up" or "Googled Janny", etc because we were "thinking about her music"...only to learn that a little over a year ago, she went on to be with Jesus. I fall into this same category. I was having a troubled night with chronic pain (a leftover "prize in the bottom of my "cracker jack box" which represents the residual damage of chemotherapy treatments I had taken to battle cancer) and was drawn to look up Janny's music for help a couple of weeks ago. The news of her death popped up quickly and I nearly lost it. After calming down a bit, I realized that while Janny is now out of pain...the kind of horrific pain that all of us who have had to endure while battling cancer....and while she no longer suffers...well, her MUSIC is still anointed and quite capable of ministering to every need that any one of us could possibly have. So, while still grieving that night, I started listening to her music...allowing it to fill my spirit man like it has done on so many occasions in the past. Janny, it was a true gift from God to call you friend. It was an honor to "loan" you my guitar (as I was a member of the church orchestra, sitting on stage behind you one night in 1979) when you broke a string on your own guitar. It was a true privilege to be used in assisting you that night, during a concert you were doing at Lakewood Church's old location in Houston, TX. And lastly, what fun it was to always have a fresh pack of your favorite brand of chewing gum on my person whenever I was present at one of your concerts, lol...because you would always find me if you needed a piece, lol! I will miss you so much my friend and cannot wait to reunite with you one day. In the mean time, I know that I can always rely on your music to transcend me to higher places during the hours when I need them most.

Janny was on my heart and just found out that she is with Jesus. I give glory to God for what was accomplished through the ministry God gave her. I worked with Janny when she lived in Tulsa, OK. Janny, Steven Effinger and myself traveled to churches to minister to people in need and watched God do amazing things. It was a pleasure to play music with her and do it in the Spirit. God's compassion would fill the places we played and He would minister to all. Whether it was in Tampa at Brook's church or John Olsteen's church in Texas, it didn't matter. Janny always listened to what Jesus would have her to do and that is why her ministry was blessed. Thank you, Janny for what you did here on earth and the praise you're giving even now in heaven. My prayers are with the family. God bless you, Bill.

It seems that Paul and I have had a similar experience. Today, Janny came to mind and I did a search on Yahoo only to find out that she is with the Lord. Janny was someone very special in my life when I first began leading worshippers in 1980. She knew (by His Spirit) that there were times when I would be right where the Lord wanted me to be (musically speaking) and there were times when I wasn't. She prophesied over me that a time was coming when I would be hitting the "Bullseye," as she put it, everytime. Many years later the Lord fulfilled that word in my life and as long as I leaned on Him instead of myself we never missed. Thank you Janny for all you brought to so many lives especially in those early days when so many of us were feeling our way through. Your songs provided direction and you were (and are) a gift from God.
