I thought Witness had called it a day but six years on they return with a come back album that highlights they still have all the vocal chops in place. The line up is slightly changed with Lisa Page Brooks and Laeh Jones back with Lou Stewart rejoining the group and Natasha Page the newest recruit. Respected producer Michael A Brookes holds the album together and the girls deliver their trademark tight vocals and strong gospel leads. The songs visit standard gospel themes like the woman with the issue of blood touching the hem of Jesus' garments on "Yes I Touched Him" and the usual overcoming struggles on "Battles" and the encouragement to worship on "Clap Your Hands". The group's biggest hit "Standard" is revisited and updated for the 21st century but even with that, there is still a sense of something missing. A lot of musical changes have happened since the last release from Witness and although this is a solid performance, it feels a little old school now. It's as if the group have stood frozen in time while they have been passed by Out Of Eden, Virtue, Trin-I-tee 5:7 and others who have taken R&B gospel to a new level.

Michael Brooks is dated and needs to let go of his vice grip. That's why their music is lack-luster. There is no doubt Lisa, Lou, Tasha and Leah can blow!

Witness is an awesome group. Where other groups have taken gospel music to an earthly level, Witness has stayed true to Gods' Word. It not all about sound. It is about getting the message across and being led by God. Ladies keep it coming there are many of us who enjoy hearing Gods Word that is in a spiritual form instead of an earthly form.
