With over six years experience together, East Midlands-based band Freakshow offer an eclectic mix in their second eight-track mini album. The female lead vocals combined with keyboard, guitar, drums and effects give the listener both a range of songs and variation of styles. Fans of bands ranging from Yfriday to Evanescence would each definitely appreciate this album! At the heart is their unashamed belief in living an authentic life in search of Christ-likeness. Where there is no doubting their commitment, this CD lacks the quality sound and professionalism offered by so many Christian bands. At some points the vocals sound slightly off key, which unfortunately marks most of the songs. While the project oozes sincerity, with clear worship ("Holy") and contemporary rock ("Porcelain Boy"), one feels work is needed to crank up the creative standards.

Hey, I didn't even know you folks had heard of us so thanks for taking the time to listen. Your comments about production and professionalism are valid, however I'd just like to respond by letting your listeners/readers know that our sole aim is to provide a resource to churches and youth clubs irrespective of size and budget. We're not looking to make it big but we do hope to provide a valuable ministry to the local church. So, if you're looking for a band that'll put on a good show without breaking the bank please get in touch.
