Although unknown in the area the event marked the beginning of a new approach to engaging with the established city rock scene as 5000 publicity cards were distributed into the regular pub and club scene and local web site (www.stokerockscene.com) and newspaper (The Sentinel) ran features on the visit of the band.
A small crowd of 50 attended but it was a ground breaking night and the beginnings of something to build on. V12 played an excellent set, although they did disband three months later, but that had nothing to do with us!
