Of course, those who "believe" will not be dissuaded. I remember when everyone thought that Uri Geller had miraculous powers (in spoon bending, I seem to remember.)
The whole think has the smokescreen of Satan on it. Far from being fresh fire, it's false fire, cloned from the genuine item and enhanced to appeal to those who are looking for a spiritual lift. It's been calculated to lead the saints astray from the Lord and into worshipping an alternative (angelic) vision and a self-generated image of Jesus that is far from reality.
God will judge and His judgment will be righteous. Those who lead the saints astray will face greater condemnation.

This very morning, I am dealing with my own extreme ill-health and a husband who normally caes for me but has had a biopsy for a possible return of cancer...

...then a well-meaning girlfriend told me about the outpouring...a minister is going there soon and offers to take something of ours for prayer...it would be so easy to get caught in with this

BUT

my God demands my faith be solid and secure in Him and not in any such manifestations...my God has never let me down even through the valley of the shadow of death...my God has shown me how much He loves me...through my steadfast (but 'boring') faith, I have no idea who has turned to Him and it is not my business.

The minute I surfed onto channel 760 I was asked for a donation...

I rest my case!

I believe God gave me a word for you in 2006/2007 that He had touched you with His fire and the annointing He had given you is for the world. As for Todd, many people judge from a carnal point of view from his presentation and from his appearance, or from what people say however the annointing and power from the webcasts convince me of his standing.
This is an age old problem, if we don't understand the minister or the signs and wonders we should be praying positively, building up and not tearing down like a pack of wolves!

Due you think that the word of God could reach me? I am 45 Mother of three beautiful children, happily married but desperately ill with M.S.and unable to even stand from my wheelchair. I want in all the world to be healed as I have alot to offer I want to return to life as a painter and sculptor. Please could you show we me how to be healed?

God wants you well. To recieve form Him you first have to believe that God wants you well. Then you find all of the healing scriptures and begin to read them out loud several times a day just like taking medicine. There is a great little book that I use daily Scripture Confessions for healing. I got it thru Amazon. Another wondeful tool is John Hagees book and cd on healing. It is wonderful. It will help you believe that God wants you well. Then play the cd 24 7. Healing is Gods bread to his children. I know that I know that God wants His children well. He has healed me several times and right now I am being healed of cancer. I keep healing tapes going and stay away from negative people. I pray the Word like it is medicine because it is. I have been on chemo the strongest that there is and I have had not one bad day.........not sick one time. They told me that I would have days where I would feel like I was run over by a mack truck. That hasn't happened either.
Tumors have shrunk 50%. God's Word is true and He honors His Word above His name. He said that by His stripes you are healed. Jesus bore a horrible beating on his back for you to be well. I pray that God's healing power will just flood every cell of your body bringing healing and health to all of your flesh.
Also....do you drink diet soda? It has been proven that artificial sweeteners will make you have the symptoms of ms. I will be praying for you. You are healed in Jesus name

Hi Emily,
I really believe that the Word of God can reach you, and that His healing power can reach you too.
I am praying for you. When the man with leprosy came to Jesus in Matthew chapter 8 the man asked Jesus if He was willing to heal him. Jesus said to him, 'I am willing'. Jesus is just as willing to heal you, Emily. Be encouraged that people are praying for you and keep trusting God that you will get a breakthrough in your life. He loves you so much.

Hey,

it says in the bible in Matthew 9:22
Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment.

now i believe that by faith people can be healed, and you dont nesecarily need someone to pray for you, you can do it yourself, pray to God for healing.

I dont know if your a christian or not, so lets start at the beginning, God sent his son Jesus Christ to die for the sins of this world, that includes you, if you were the last person on earth to become a christian did you know Christ would die for you still, now if you havent said the following prayer and you feel its right say it outloud,

Lord God, I recognise that I am a sinner, and you have sent your son to die on a cross for my sins, I pray you come into my heart, and walk with me the rest of my life, I pray that you would lead me closer to you and understand your will over my life.

If you prayed that prayer go find yourself the nearest church and tell someone, and they can help you out further, now with regards to your healing, pray to God that he heals you, and I will be praying also, and hopefully anyone else that reads this,

dont be downheartened if it doesnt happen straight away or at all, but just keep seeking God and put all your faith in him and see what happens,

God bless you

John

Having seen some of the recent 'outpouring' broadcast, I am deeply concerned for Todd Bentley and his flock.

The team used highly suggestible strategies (excessive repetition, use of continual but subtle low frequency music, rhetorical questions, corporate physical actions) to invoke what appeared to be a purely emotional response. Scripture was used exceedingly sparingly, and the Word of God was not preached.

Yes, there was an altar call, but this did not appear to include repentance or any explanation as to what exactly Jesus had done on the cross and how he was able to forgive.

All the while, Mr Bentley was shaking vigorously and seemed to be entirely out of control. At times, he talked of violent approaches to 'deliverance' - even kicking one person in the stomach. Such abuse is not of the loving God that I worship. References to supernatural occurrences that contrasted markedly with a biblically-based faith also concerned me.

The focus was almost entirely on the manifestations which were evident rather on Jesus. The Bible exhorts us to be on our guard against false prophets. I would say 'false teachers', but there was precious little teaching on display here. I would counsel anyone taking an interest in the events at Lakeland to pray long and hard before being sucked in to what is potentially damaging spirituality.

Spike writes: 'The "shaking vigorously" is the manifestation of the spirit of God, ive been going to revival meetings in bath in the UK, and the pressence of God is also that strong that people shake'

Are you saying that *all* shaking vigorously is a manifestation of the Spirit of God?

God gave us brains as well as the Holy Spirit to discern between spiritual powers. I have seen more than one programme from Florida, and I am increasingly certain that the 'manifestations' are either faked, induced by advanced emotional techniques or - quite possibly - demonic.

Instead of asking ourselves "Is this of God?" - maybe we should be asking God "Is there anything You want to do in me through this?" God can use ANYTHING for His purposes. But... if we are quick to criticise something then we close ourselves off from Him using it to work in us and ultimately we're the ones that miss out.

Whether or not something is or is not of God is not for us to judge and we are guilty of sin if we do. We can and must weigh things carefully asking God to give us wisdom but we must not be judgemental. That is for God alone.

May God bless you richly.

++ The older I get the more mysterious the ways of God are to me. As a teenager I knew everything, now I just stand in wonder. ++

"if we are quick to criticise something then we close ourselves off from Him using it to work in us and ultimately we're the ones that miss out."

Chapter and verse please. On the contrary, the Bereans were commended for questioning the teaching of the APOSTLES and ensuring that they conformed to scripture.

"Whether or not something is or is not of God is not for us to judge and we are guilty of sin if we do."

This is both illogical and unscriptural. What do you think the gift of discernment is all about. What do you think it means in 1 John when it commands us to "Test the spirits" ? (1 John 4:1)

Gifts are not necessarily associated with any sort of maturity - the corinthian church was full of problems, and yet Paul said of them "You are lacking in no gift".

To question the salvation of Todd Bentley is not for us - that is for God alone. To question his teachings is certainly a task that God gives us to do - God doesn't command us to have an 'open mind' about such things. Theology is very important, because theology states what we know about God. It is knowledge of God and the Son of God that ensures that we ".. may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes" (Ephesians 4:14)

Hey guys, God bless you!
I've been watching whats happening in Florida, looks awesome and very interesting.
It's all supernatural with no correlation or harmony with the scriptures.
I think the healing is awesome and if this is Gods work then the Glory is his, but of what i have been watching, i saw that Todd Bentley focuses a lot on angels healing and ministering, which biblically I find no proof. You see the scriptures describe angels as carriers of Good News, executors of Gods Justice and Gods messengers.
We have to be very careful of what we are following, I just advice you all to study (not read) your double edged sword (Hebrews 4:12) and learn to discern and squeeze the scriptures enjoying His presence while doing it.
God bless you, and keep up discerning and studying the scriptures, because it is very important, one reason why we most of the time perish is because our ignorance and lack of understanding; therefore I encourage you guys to start studying and discerning the scriptures and at the same time enjoying Gods presence, now that will give you life, that is a stepping point from which revival starts in your life.
Stop criticizing Todd Bentley because the one who gets damaged will be you because it accumulates anger in the spirit and that is not healthy. Instead find revelation from God through His scriptures and tell the people the truth, what is written and been prophesied in the scriptures and not by men.
Don't let anyone put his finger in your mouth just because they say its anointed.
1Thessalonians 5:19-21, 1 John 4:1
"Test everything, and hold on to the good things" guys this is discerning.
By the way I'd love someone to give a good explanation of the angel called "Emma", what is all that?
Finally I would also love to see Todd opening a bible and reading out from what is written because I haven't seen him doing that. Question here is, What foundations is he seeding on peoples heart other than an emotion?
God bless you all
