May I just add my whole hearted agreement to Malcom's well articulated argument.

Rev Duncan says that "schools will not be prosecuted for not promoting a homosexual lifestyle." but the SOR makes it clear that church schools will not be excluded and so be forced to compromise their beliefs by being forced to promote a gay lifestyle as equal to marriage within their teaching or they could be sued. Please correct me if I am wrong on this.

Fantastic article, I really hope that the church as a whole will take Jesus stance of 'he who is without sin cast the first stone'.
I agree that homosexuality has become the 'bogie man' of the past decade and, as was writen in the article, we are to show love to all people.
I myself have sin in my life, and as I pray the Lords prayer I ask for God to forgive me only as much as I forgive others.
Thank you for an enlightened view on the subject.

The church is not in danger of sounding homophobic, it does sound homophobic and is homophobic by its' actions lobbying against any piece of equality legislation relating to sexual orientation. It also looks incredibly mean spirited considering there is already in place significant legislative protection for religious belief. Is it any wonder that so many people feel alienated by orgnaised religion.
