There is always a tension between our wealth in the first world and the poverty of the third, but I firmly believe that if we allow ourselves to be numbed inot doing nothing, we are just as guilty of walking on by as the priest and levite did in the story of The Good Samaritan. We need to lobby government; most of the problems stem from trade inequality, so that is where our repsonsibility lies; governemtns do listen if enough of us stand up and talk.
