It's always somewhat daunting approaching the second album by any act when you've shouted the praises of the first. Would thebandwithnoname be able to create again the magic which made 'The Blitz' such a head spinning fusion of breakbeat and rock, hip-hop and dance? So it's heartening to announce that not only do the band make a follow up which in every way pleases the band's growing group of supporters, they extend further their ability to tell the old, old story with freshness and vitality. There are so many good things here. Catch "Drive" with the rasping rap chorus of "Drive with it/Drive with it" and a breathtaking scratch break; swoon over "Skizophrenic Skin" with its 'Heatseeker'-style Prodigy-like groove and Presha rapping like a demented dirvisher; the radio-friendly "Home" with its anthemic chorus sung with passion by Chip K; the crunching nu metal groove of "Found And Lost" which metamorphoses between Max's heavy metal guitar and Bobby singing sweet and soulful over a gentle piano. My favourite in an album full of favourite is their stunning recreation of the old hymn "Before The Throne Of God" where a truly amazing drum sound in 6/8 time allows the effects-filled vocals of Bobby to sing the beautiful anthem of God's throne room. There are still more delights: some remixes, a telling cover of Rozalla's dancefloor oldie "Everybody's Free (To Feel Good)" and even a hidden track featuring a full on preach from Chip. The safe musical enclave of CCM has been well and truly shattered.
