After an unprecedented 50 weeks at number one on Billboard's Top Christian Songs chart it's hardly surprising that reviewers have been suggesting that it has become "the anthem of countless Christians." Like another song that could make that claim, Hillsong United's "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)", "Chain Breaker" is a primal call to the Lord of all. For months Christian radio listeners have been demanding a full album and now that it is with us it clearly shows that Williams is no one-trick-pony. On the hugely catchy "Old Church Choir" he makes a convincing stab at retro rockabilly while the powerful lyricist that Williams is comes through on "Fear Is A Liar" which colourfully reminds us how Satan uses fear to keep us from the path of faith. Zach is, of course, no novice. He has travelled with various bands playing different styles of rock music before settling as a worship leader in Jonesboro, Arkansas. With his gritty voice, which one reviewer suggested is a cross between Bryan Adams and Johnny Cash (if you can imagine such a thing), the songsmith's power ballads "Revival" and "Survivor" are both convincing while the acoustic closer "So Good To Me" is prayerful and moving. Okay, so there isn't another song of the calibre of "Chain Breaker" here but this is still a top rate album.

Product Description
Zach Williams' first full-length album, Chain Breaker, comes from a place of humility and honesty as these songs are a direct reflection of God's redemption in Williams' life as he heals from a past life of addiction, darkness, and hopelessness. Says Williams, "Jesus came and died on the cross so there would be a way for the chains of those struggles and addictions to be broken. If you have pain, He's a pain taker, if you're lost, He is the way maker, and if you've got chains, He's the chain breaker. The first step is allowing Him to come in so He can set you free." Chain Breaker is a reminder of these truths about Jesus.
