As the sleevenotes boast, Vineyard UK's worship output has been rightly celebrated since the release of the mightily impressive 'Come Now Is The Time' in 1998. This eight-track budget-priced EP compiles songs from previous discs such as 'Holy,' 'Surrender' and 'Doing The Stuff' around the theme of Christ's crucifixion. Tracks such as "Great Is Your Name," "I Have Been Redeemed" and "Jesus Meet Me" showcase the worship leading talents of Marc James, Kathryn Scott and Brenton Brown amongst others. All are homegrown Vineyard tunes apart from a version of "When I Survey" whose arrangement is cheekily credited to Scott, when it sounds (to these ears at least) like a carbon copy of Iona's take on the standard from their classic 'Journey Into The Morn', complete with djembe rhythms! Another minor quibble is the number of typo's on the sleeve and wrong/incomplete lyrics inside - proof reader required, methinks. Other than that, a good bargain if you want to dip cheaply into Vineyard UK's back catalogue.
