Burn:UK is a congregation of St Albans Vineyard Church and this studio project features fine worship leader Marc James, the vocalist/guitarist with Dust/Verra Cruz, vocalist/guitarist Samuel Lane and Deborah Clarke, a lady with a goose-pimple inducing voice once again proving that just about anything coming out of the British Vineyard churches is top quality. Marc's masterly guitar work gives rich texture while the songs about reaching for God's healing, "Draw Nearer", being under the covering of God's wing, "Shadows" and "Rain Down (Come To Us)", co-written by Marc James and One Hundred Hours' Tre Sheppard are as uplifting as anything in our worship songbooks. There's even some wonderful violins from Chi 2, those Chinese sisters who've worked with Moby. All in all, heart-affecting worship of contemporary relevance. Just sorry it's taken us so long to review it.
