A 2002 album that somehow slipped through the Cross Rhythms review net, this has some excellent stuff – try the tremulously haunting voice of Melissa Barnett on “There Is No One Like You” penned by Vineyard veteran Danny Daniels. In fact it is Daniels who offers the most outstanding songs, he sings the moving title track with gritty passion though best of all is Rita Maes who brings new life to the John Wimber oldie “Sweet Perfume”. A deftly mellow studio production done in Denver, Colorado, ‘The Call’ is low key but beautifully crafted.
