This 2004 Veggie Tales DVD takes its theme as perseverance. Larry the Cucumber (sorry, kids, he's a computer animation, not a real cucumber) features as the The Italian Scallion in a contest for the World Veggie Weight Title. I can't say I warm to a positive use of boxing as an analogy, but you may disagree. Other episodes include a Three Stooges-style short about the delivery of a piano up a sloping drive to a house. There is also a bizarre version of the St Patrick life story, which confirms all our British prejudices about our Atlantic cousins' grasp on international affairs. Patrick has an Antipodean accent, and Scotland and Wales are subsumed into England. The disc also failed to play on my standard DVD player, and only co-operated under protest on my PC. Overall this isn't bad, but I've had better experiences of Larry-Boy and the gang.
