Reviewed by Trevor Kirk The latest in the series of Veggie Tales Sing-Alongs (which means that the songs are repeated in split trax format to enable people to, er, sing along), has 15 songs, many traditional favourites, including "The Hokey Pokey", "If You’re Happy And You Know It", "The Green Grass Grew All Around", "Polly Wolly Doodle" and "This Old Man", along with one or two more spiritual songs such as "His Banner Over Me", a re-write of the Isley Brothers’ rock ‘n’ roll classic "Shout" (I kid you not!!), and a couple of new tracks "I Can Be Your Friend", and "A Friend Is A Friend", both of which have a strong Christian message that is very kids-friendly. Now if this was Cedarmont or others of their ilk, the result would be totally cheesy and spell Cringe with a capital C, but Bob and Larry and the Veggie Tales gang have a proven track record of making music that connects with kids, but doesn’t drive their parents crazy, and this is more of the same. Huge fun!
