This latest live offering from the young lions and lionesses at Hillsong Church (formerly known as Hills Christian Life Centre), Sydney, Australia, is subtitled 'Radical Worship'. The only problem I have with that cool title is that recent offerings from both the kids and the grown-ups at Hillsongs have shown a tendency to formulaic ruts rather than radical grooves, and whilst I don't doubt that everyone got blessed to bits when this was recorded, it doesn't come over to this listener in the way that it does on a recording from, say, Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship. Nearly everything is at several million decibels, the girl singers all sound like Darlene and the material is all much of a muchness; not only that, the hooting and the hollering reminded me of a Gaither Homecoming Friends concert and any sense of worship was lost in amongst all the noise. Not a rewarding listen.

This is a great cd. It's a little older than the newer
hillsong united cds but praise god that he's the same
yesterday, today, and tommorrow and his praise never gets
old. This cd has power-packed praise and worship songs
that'll lift your spirits and really bless you and help you
encounter God!
