Truth are another of those US CCM institutions who don't mean a light this side of the pond largely because they've never played here. In America the large vocal group (or small choir if you will) directed by Steven V Taylor, have been a popular touring/recording attraction finding a niche in several different genres/markets (contemporary, praise and worship, inspirational). In recent times they've taken another sound R&B-gospel on board and with a hot black vocalist Alicia Williamson in their ranks Truth have clearly got over the shock of seeing not only four of their ranks depart but go on (as 4 Him) to become one of the hottest CCM acts in the States. 'Something To Hold On To' offers an above average set of songs of love and devotion to Jesus, some cooking accompaniments (bass maestro Abraham Laboriel crops up on several tracks) and make indeed a joyful noise to the Lord.
