Trant is a rapper and producer from Huntsville, Alabama, and this seven-track mini-album features such well known figures as Dre Murray, Dee-1 and Taelor Gray. The first cut, "Good Noize" featuring Taelor Gray, is really arresting and there is a wide variety of styles from laid back tones to the furious flow from the UK's Dwayne Tryumf. There are a number of more subdued songs such as "Say That" and the powerful "No Choice". There is both great storytelling and deeply moving lyrics throughout. Some tracks have an older skool (yet tightly produced) west coast, almost underground feeling ("Wildflower") with some build ups and break downs alongside tasty fresh vocals. Any project with Braille in gets my vote and his brilliant delivery on "Cold Blooded" reveals the human condition through clever wordplay. With great production, soulful licks and hooks and smoothly rich flavours, the only disappointment is that this project is just seven tracks. If this mini-album was a painting, it would be a watercolour, seamlessly fused together with colour and tone.
