Tourniquet: arguably the greatest Christian metal band in history. Since 1990 and the release of 'Stop The Bleeding', Tourniquet have successfully released (alternative Christian radio) hit after hit. Each time the sound and style slightly being altered to compensate for the progression in modern metal and each time releasing the best and most popular work. Although the line up has changed over the last six years, the group have apparently been unhindered by this. The songs chosen for this compilation are definitely among the band's best. "Psycho Surgery", "Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance", "Ark Of Suffering", "The Skeezix Dilemma", etc. It was also great to see my all time favourite Tourniquet track, "Broken Chromosomes". You will also find "Twilight"! You judge on its relevance. Each title has side notes on its personal meaning etc, and other useful comments. Their are two new tracks to satisfy, or even tease, the die hard listener. However, be warned there are no soft "Twilight" tunes here. Strictly progressive speed metal. Possibly even verging on previously uncharted heavy thrash metal territory. The tracks are called "Perfect Night For A Hanging" and "The Hand Trembler". Definitely not for the faint hearted. Although the production of the two new tracks leaves much to be desired, it has a rough, rugged sound. Reminiscent of Machine Head. It's great to hear a band not scared to get heavier.
