The musical marriage between the hauntingly voiced songstress and producer Trevor Michael is one of British music's most unheralded treasures. Here, the studio maestro envelopes Tina's brittle, poignant voice in a dramatic electronic soundscape to bring out all the pain and pathos of a confessional song of courageous honesty ("I don't want you like I want to") and heart breaking imagery ("But it always comes back to the same place/Shut the curtains and fall to the floor"). A masterly piece of pop art.
