No one, least of all the refreshingly modest and unassuming Tim Hughes, would claim that this book (called Here I Am To Worship on its US publication) breaks much new ground or adds vastly to the growing library of books written about worship. But it's still a useful little book for the would-be worship leader giving plenty of practical advice on songwriting, choosing the song list, small group worship, the dynamics of a band and even an interesting bit about the commercialisation of the whole worship field. Sometimes it's all a little TOO obvious and simplistic ("It's a good policy to be honest with your worship band" or "If churches regularly sing song in the same way at the same pace it's no wonder people get bored with singing"). But overall, a useful little handbook.
