So the years pass relentlessly on, and a band like the World Wide Mess.sorry, The Tribe.still on the cusp of teenage evangelistic ministry have to continually re-invent themselves to meet the musical tastes of school kids who once went for house and techno but today groove on garage and R&B. The new line up Tribe handle the transition marvellously, thanks in part to the pleasing blend of voices able to handle harmony R&B like these guys had lived all their lives Stateside, while the attention grabbing opener "God Squad" is a superb stand up for God rap anthem (almost a "Jesus Freak" for the new millennium) which is surely one of the most careeringly funky tracks that Matt Wanstall has ever produced. Some great singing and, just so older followers who still get up on their feet every time the thumping strains of "Jumping In The House Of God" kicks in, the old warhorse is there at track 11. The Tribe's amazing ability to speak timeless truths in today's musical language continues.
