Producer Trevor Michael and worship leader Ian Yates team up again, mixing electronic sounds with atmospheric guitar. It's not exactly the Orb with David Gilmour, though their first release 'A' set them off to a good start. "Beginnings" opens this set, briskly calming the mind and soothing the spirit. "Banquet" rocks the boat though, suddenly adding a stronger beat to disturb the chill. The next few tracks are further off course: the chord progressions are too "ordinary", and just sound like Hillsong or Soul Survivor with deleted vocals at half-speed. "Brokenness" brings the vibe back again, with a gentle acoustic guitar plucking held within a sound cloud of electronic soul massage. A sense of mystery is evoked. . . and then dashed by the use of sound and melody virtually pasted from Spielberg's Close Encounters. The set fades out with "Banner", where simplicity struggles to keep the listener's attention for the full six and a half minutes. It's a shame the standard set by 'A' has not been matched here. Let's hope 'C' is going to get top marks.
