The Neon Ambience is an instrumental project by 7Core Music producer Trevor Michael and well known worship leader Ian Yates. This is their first EP and their third release, featuring five well known Christmas songs. The EP blasts the listener with a rocking version of "Little Drummer Boy" which has a gentle, bell-like intro which then bursts into distorted guitars. Another yuletide makeover which stands out is "Come All Ye Faithful" which starts with Santa's signature "ho ho ho", a piano playing the familiar tune with accompanying sleigh bells and features synthesizer and percussive drums. Also featured here is a more traditional arrangement of "Joy To The World" which uses a ringing music box melody, which gives a lovely sound as well as acoustic guitar. All in all an original reading of some Christmas evergreens.
