Having appeared on every major Bethel album since 2010, husband and wife Paul and Hannah McClure have a wealth of experience but 'The Way Home' is their debut release under their own name. The experience shows in the strong but gentle lyrics, classy tunes and clever production courtesy of David Leonard. The strong country feel to these hooky songs play to the vocal talents - particularly the standout "Gone" that highlights Hannah's great voice. The slower ballads are handled with equal aplomb and the duets work especially well, particularly the title track. There are no weak tracks and if a standout had to be chosen, it will probably be "Only Have One" - a country rock romp with steel guitar riff powering a strong lyric looking at the fact there is "Only One" Jesus. A must have country album that will stand with head held high in any company and will reward a single listen or a month on repeat.
