Now working as an independent, The Echoing Green give you three different mixes of the radio friendly pop "If I Could" which gently grooves along in a catchy manner. The Wild Style Mix of the song has a darker, brooding, kicking feel whilst the I Think I Can, I Think I Can Mix of "If I Could" was putĀ together by Australia's Adam Sorenson and is a wash of swirling synths, bubbling rhythms track and hooky chorus! (It even contains the Culture Club stolen line "Time is the clock of the heart" but then Joey is totally immersed in that '80s thing so we'll forgive him!) There are a couple of studio mixes of "Defender" which was originally unveiled on their live album. Overall, this single shows The Echoing Green as a band in motion, still cutting it and still deserving to reach a wider audience. If you want top quality, catchy, infectious creative dande-flavoured pop, it's time you checked them out.
