Any music needs new artists to take the genre to a new level and the Crabb Family are certainly a shot in the arm for Southern gospel. They are a young, bright band who are much more up tempo than many of their elder peers and have striven very hard to produce fresh new songs instead of recording the 88th version of "The Old Rugged Cross"! However, the draw back on self-penned and new material is evidenced on this album. Having played it several times, whilst I enjoy it, there is not one song that really stands out and grabs me. On the other hand there are no duff tracks and basically it is a good album. Oh for a truly standout song on their next release!

Is this the same Dave Brassington who played drums for Apple, also any relation to Australian drummer Derrick Brassington?
