This album was first released in 1994, and is re-issued here with just one bonus remix of the title track. It's a strange choice for a re-issue because it didn't get such great reviews back then. Though the Clark Sisters have pretty much a legendary status and shaped a whole generation of gospel musicians and singers, here they are let down by quite forgettable songs (they are missing Twinkie, the main songwriting sister) and a bland production. The state of the production is surprising, knowing that BeBe Winans was involved: it is slick and smooth, but wholly fails to highlight the pure class, stature and quality of the vocals. And the sisters seem to have turned down their passion and energy a notch or two here. So is there hope in the new remix of "Miracle"? Unfortunately not. Despite also having a very capable producer (Michael J Powell), it appears to be completely disjointed, as if the riffs from three seemingly unrelated songs were being forced together by some novice pre-teen bedroom DJ. It's surely an embarrassment to the Clark legend? Fortunately they do have a strong back catalogue (not to mention some more classy recent solo offerings) if you go back further: you'd be much better off trying "You Brought The Sunshine" (from 1981) and "Unworthy" (1976).
