Cross Rhythms have long been fans of this team of radical worshippers from Ontario, Canada, and with their first two albums getting nine and 10 square reviews much was expected from 'We Are'. We haven't been disappointed. They've already enjoyed iTunes success with the opening track here "We Are One". It's a stirring anthem ("All life and death and what's to come belongs to Christ/So here we stand hands lifted high/The very hands and feet of Christ/No holding back, no wasting time, for we are one"). The theme of church unity permeates several of the songs and whether they are singing a fist-pumping rocker like "Let There Be Light" or an elegantly constructed song like "Oh What Love" the atmosphere of abandoned adoration is maintained. Lead singer Elias Dummer has become one of the best vocalists in modern worship while the closing track "One" is a superb celebration of the triune God ("The Lord is one/Our Lord our God/Three in one/Holy Father, Spirit, Son"). One of the best worship projects of the year.
