This release is the English language version of the album by the Slovakian duo originally released in 2018. The duo consists of singer and guitarist Richard Kralovic and keyboardist Martin Benc, and the eight-track collection has strong '70s/'80s influences. An example of this retro feel is the toe-tapping "Time", which is overlaid with an engaging disco beat and is a positive encouragement to make the most of our time. It comes with a lyric spoken at the end, "Time that runs out cannot be replaced." Elsewhere, Richard's vocals are gentle with a smooth as silk quality, which is particularly effective on the slower ballad "Like You" which mixes beautifully with its atmospheric musical backing. Not all the songs work however, I found "Sorry From One To Ten" irritating with its lyrical reliance on counting! But overall, this is an enjoyable album with plenty of promise.
