The definitive live Alarm Experience from 1988. They were made to play live and their shows quickly became the stuff of legend. In 1986 they played the "Spirit Of 86" concert, the first ever MTV worldwide satellite television concert broadcast, at UCLA, available for a time on video, and this album, recorded in Boston - with additional unreleased cuts from Chicago a year earlier - is simply majestic. Whatever differences there may still have been are swept away by stinging versions of "Spirit Of 76", "Blaze Of Glory" and "Rain In The Summertime". Extras here include a list of every Alarm gig ever, and a fascinating timeline of the track "Rescue Me", documenting the times at which guitar solos appeared, Mike Peters dived into the crowd, crowd-surfed, and finally re-emerged. This could quite possibly be the greatest live album ever.
