This live performance video was recorded at London's Brixton Academy, on June 30th '91. The Alarm have always been at their best in concert and this tape goes some way to capturing them. In recent years their music has been infused with even more energy and songs here such as "Sold Me Down The River", "68 Guns", and especially their bone-stripping cover of "Rockin' In The Free World" burn with real fire. Dave Sharp's guitar playing in particular is as good as it ever has been. The video is very well produced, the concert appearing to have been filmed rather than videotaped, and worlds away from the poor quality picture of "Spirit of '86", their previous concert video. If you missed the chance to see them live, this video will help console you. It includes Mike Peters announcement of leaving the band so keep a box of tissues handy! This video will probably not win any new converts to the band, but fans will probably want to put this near the top of their shopping list. And now a word to IRS, the soundtrack is just the right length for release on cassette and CD (hint, hint).
