Back in the early 80s Terry Clark paid a fleeting visit to the UK from his American homeland toting an old album which showed he could sing the gospel in a fairish, blue-eyed soul style, at times strikingly familiar to Lionel Ritchie. Then he disappeared from view before popping up in 1984 with newly formed Asaph Records to record a nice relaxed worship album. It's that album, 'Living Worship1, which, seven years on, Word are now dishing out to Europe from their warehouse. It's a reasonably engaging though hardly exceptional example of California-sounding praise music.
