Recent visitors to Britain, the Imperials continue their musical journey by deciding to remain a trio rather than try and replace their long time quartet vocalist, the late and much loved Joe Moscheo. Personally I think it works well, the group sound fresh, new and bright. The other two members Darrell Toney and Lynn Royce Taylor both have very fine voices, indeed the latter has a really high range. The production throughout is contemporary, using an array of top notch Nashville musicians who at times bring in a touch of country. But basically it's the fine vocals and strong material such as the opener "God's Love", "Sweet Jesus" and "Talk About The Good Times" penned by the late Jerry Reed which keep you listening. The Gaither classic "He Touched Me", made famous by Elvis Presley, includes their late pal Joe Moscheo singing on what was apparently his last known vocal effort. Gary S Paxton's "No Shortage" is very strong and the album concludes with an Elvis medley including "Can't Help Falling In Love", "The Wonder Of You" and "How Great Thou Art".
