A few months back, Colorado-based singer/songwriter Teressa released this mini-album produced by Ryan Corn. Listeners of Cross Rhythms Radio may be familiar with the engaging "Kairos" which has received airplay since its release earlier this year. 'Beyond' also features an interesting cover version of Amy Grant's "1974" (originally on the 1988 album 'Lead Me On'). Here it receives a modern but stripped back approach which suits Teressa's voice extremely well. Other highlights include the brilliant "The Castle" with its lyrics about removing barriers between us and the happy feeling "As You Go", which finishes the mini-album. I enjoyed this eight track collection which grew on me with repeated plays, and I especially recommend it to fans of thought-provoking, poetically inclined singer/songwriters such as Sara Groves.
