Tauren's work with CCM hitmakers Royal Tailor has been the platform to launch a successful solo career and this, his debut full-length album, is packed with radio-friendly music and soulful R&B vocals. Despite his young age, there is evidence of musical maturity in both the songs and their delivery. "All About You" featuring great support vocals from Hollyn, is pop R&B at its very best. "Nothing But You" is a beautifully atmospheric produced track with lyrics like "All I see is smoke/All I see is mirrors/Trying to find myself in a blurry picture. . ." Rap artist Davies also adds a special ingredient to the track. "Known" is a beautifully simple Bruno Mars sounding delight to the ears. The deluxe version alongside remixes of album tracks contains a cracking version of Earth Wind and Fire's "September" which sounds great even if it doesn't have Philip Bailey's lead vocal. Overall, 'Hills And Valleys' is a hugely successful debut.
