Tennessee-based singer/songwriter Tanya Godsey's latest album reflects what she's learnt from God recently about how his love transcends brokenness to speak redemption and hope into lives and relationships. Kicking off with in anthemic fashion with "Wild Love", this is a collection of bold songs that tell of God's faithfulness which benefit greatly from Godsey's distinctive and passionate vocals. There is an underlying intensity to proceedings thanks in part to the skilled lyricism found in the likes of the ethereal "Quiet Street" and "The Same Sun" - the latter a song about God's consistency that works particularly well - whilst Godsey draws on the experience of producer Ben Shive (MercyMe, Rend Collective) to offer up something satisfyingly inventive in the staccato "We Are Your Song". Arguably the standout track, the incredible "Beautiful World" sums up the feeling of hope found this hugely fulfilling release.
