The Florida-based band follow up their 'Vision Tour' project with a powerful new set.
Categorising them as similar to Paramore only tells half the story. They extend beyond Paramore both lyrically and in terms of their production and arrangements. Yvonne Winfrey leads the band with her deep and powerful vocals, more than ably backed by thoughtful and creative musicianship. From exclaiming freedom in Christ in "Freedom Looks Good On Me" to lamenting the injustices between the rich and the poor in "When He Looks Down", Submission Red are not afraid of tackling the hardest issues - and their emotion and compassion can be heard through the way they play, not just in what they write. With the ability to come up with the kind of choruses you find yourself singing as you wake up, and the kind of weighty guitar parts that will please the more hard rock inclined fans, Submission Red seem to have perfected the mix in this record, most obviously set out in their single "24 (I Want More Of You)". They are also capable of musical sensitivity that combines beautifully with Winfrey's vocals, evidenced in "What Is It All For". Aside from the slightly odd interlude of "Happy Birthday Sunshine", this is an album worth spending some time with.

Product Description
If Submission Red's previous release Vision Tour exposed the beating heart of front person Yvonne Winfrey, their newest album Untamed Ones reveals the scars that represent the healing. Having joined forces with crafty guitarist Stevie Benz (Between the Trees, Rookie of the Year), Yvonne's fun, outgoing musical personality is brought out by Stevie's bold, new, catchy guitars.
With a theme of freedom from the trappings of this world, Untamed Ones is a collection of diverse, deep pop rock songs. The title track Untamed Ones shouts 'anthem' and is a wonderfully passionate song that is driven by the coupling of high energy vocals and memorable guitar riffs. Freedom Looks Good on Me and 24 (I Want More of You) may surprise listeners with their pop spirit that shines through deep, well thought-out lyrics. In the form of a powerful radio ballad, When He Looks Down From Above emerges triumphantly as a poetic plea for the world to treat each other as a family.
Untamed Ones holds on to all the passion and energy that Submission Red fans have come to love, but adds tasty, catchy guitar performances and unforgettable, sing-a-long lyrics and melodies to the Submission Red sound.
