Stuart Menzies Farrant has been singing and writing songs for a few years now. He has played mainly in Elim circles in a ministry and evangelistic capacity and recently sung in a Christian musical production called Father at the Broadway Theatre in Barking, Essex. He is based in Bridge Street Pentecostal Church in Leeds where he was advised to send this CD into Cross Rhythms by his home group leader. On reflection, this may have been a mistake. Considering Stuart's credentials I don't think this CD does him justice. You see, there is a skill in getting the mixing right to make an album pleasant to listen to and to ensure that the music does not drown out the lyrics. Unfortunately, the production of this album doesn't quite achieve this. This sometimes makes it difficult to fully appreciate the song writing. The lyrics are not printed on the white label version that I've been sent. The music is clearly of a contemporary pop sound and this could have been a good album if it wasn't marred by the poor production quality. A pity really.
