The question was after their huge success with the brilliant 'Of Love And Lunacy' could Michigan's Still Remains do it again with 'The Serpent?' When a band release album number two, it too often seems to be stuck with the same stylistic template. Hearteningly, Still Remains have made this album at a different angle to their debut. The album opens with the title track, an epic instrumental with massive guitar sounds, pulled to ground by "The Wax Walls Of An Empty Room" to help get the ball rolling. There are many standout tracks on this album, which includes "Stay Captive" with the band introducing more clean vocals on this album and more classic metal riffs, shown in the introduction of the song. Other great tracks include "Anemia In Your Sheets" and "Dancing With The Enemy". This is going to be the album that takes Still Remains to new places in the music industry.
