One of the best CCM albums of the late '70s! Every cut uplifts or challenges believers to live a more humble and sacrificial life while spreading the kingdom. A good mix of upbeat tunes (e.g., "Gather in His Name" and the title cut), worshipful introspection ("Me" and "Lord Make Me Humble") and even a little Christian mysticism ("Strong Love, Strange Peace"). Definitely NOT your typical CCM fluff!

I have this original vinyl copy in my ccm collection. Steve is one of the great ccm pioneers! "Song for Mom" will always be special to me, as my Mom is not living here anymore! I will also point out ,that the late Larry Norman, another one of ccm's great pioneers, wrote one of the songs for the lp & co-wrote 1 of the songs with Steve. Steve wrote many of the songs on the album; and so begins his ccm career with the release of this album: this was the year that several artists in ccm became known!
GOD Bless! -Don
