Following his 1985 united artists song "Do Something Now",
we hear a most memorable duet. "One On One", with top ccm
songstress Margaret Becker (she also co-wrote the song):
Margaret was just coming into her own with her debut
recording this same year.
Also, Steve once again teams up with ccm artist Rob Frazier
for some more great ccm songs; side 1 starter
"Foolish Things" is one of the collaborations.
Another most memorable song from this album is
"He Covers Me"; a great chorus to sing with, thank you
Steve; co-written with Rob Frazier. "Cheap Grace" has great
lyrics, truth to pierce ears and hearts who listen; I like
the music to this one.
The bgv's for the album are most notable, 2 are synonymous
with top pop group Chicago, Bill Champlin and Jason Scheff
(who replaced Peter Cetera as lead vocalist this same
year):Bob Carlisle is another bgv. The 5 minute "He's All
You Need" is the perfect lp closer song; another co-written
with Rob Frazier; this song is definitely a signature tune
for Steve. 1986 also celebrated 10 year sparrow label
anniversary. GOD Bless! -Don
