Until I read the article on Steve in the last Cross Rhythms I had never heard of this talented Australian prophet musician. Steve has been involved in music ministry in Australia for nearly 15 years and more recently in this country with such people as Noel Richards. His second solo album, 'Future Dreams' is a strongly prophetic album, with three songs declaring God's desire to move through nations, in this case Scotland, England and India. The style of the album drifts away from the strong AOR feel of the opening track through a wonderful Beatlesque sound, a bit of jazz funk and ends up with two very thoughtful tracks with just a light accompaniment to Steve's vocals. The production - and guitar work - comes from David Holmes, another very talented Australian. The end result is a very full sound and music that satisfies both mind and soul. Whether you're after a slightly fuller rock sound that's full of God's voice, or you want your prophesies with musical muscle, either way this thrilling album is for you.
