This well crafted compilation, produced by Jim Frazier and Joe Beck, is the first in a series offering new worship songs for the Church. The album includes songs sung by Cole Young, Carl Cartee, Jeff Deyo, Jill Phillips, Bruce Caroll and Anadara. Some of these songs could be adapted for the church/congregational worship setting but some are more suited to performance or for listening and singing along to at home or in your car. The first track "Come Bless The Lord" sung by Cole Young is a good congregational song with a catchy chorus but you would need to omit the doxology unless you have a large choir at hand. Jeff Deyo and Anadara sing a worshipful duet called "The Bread Has Been Broken" but one song that particularly stands out is the ballad "Shelter Me". Sung by country star Bruce Carroll and accompanied by Jason Webb on piano this soothing song works beautifully as a gentle solo but would also lend itself to congregational singing. A well produced collection of songs for church and home.
