With this young ensemble currently engaged on a mammoth British tour, this album, originally recorded in 2003, is likely to create considerable interest. In truth, it's not breathtakingly brilliant though the rich blend of voices on the traditional songs like "Sikulandile", "Malaika" and "Bayete" with their dense polyphony will thrill devotees of the African choir tradition. Less successful is their versions of "Many Rivers To Cross" and "Amazing Grace". Still, these young people sing with a joy and passion which would put most British praise and worship ensembles to shame and I for one am looking forward to seeing them in concert.
