Released to coincide with his recent UK tour and an absolute sell out wherever it appeared, this is the ultimate Slim Whitman collection. It's got every, even minor sized, hit, and it was nice to get some of these classic tracks on CD for the first time. EMI wisely employed Slim's UK fan club organisers to 'seek out and find rare tracks', so Slim's many fans will be thoroughly enjoying some material which had never been issued. Sometimes such items turn out to be best left alone but that is not the case here. There are some gospel gems here. "Lord Help Me Be As Thou", "Riding The Range For Jesus", "Stairway To Heaven" (You don't mean...? Ed) and good to get that very moralistic 60s song "What's The World A'Comin To" for the very first time on CD. Quite superb.
