If your taste veers towards the pop end of techno and you fancy something a little different, get a cheque off to Spirit Music to discover what's hot in Singapore pop dance music. Sinclair sings in that strange, staccato manner so loved by British groups a few years back. The songs are pretty catchy and the programming/sampling is inventive - I enjoyed the sample of Liberace introducing the title song! Lyrics are largely about our modern world and its disintegration into an abyss of uncaring consumerism and though there are few direct references to Sinclair's faith in the lyrics there's a strong moral tone (like on the pro-sexual abstinence "Sex") while the sleeve quotes from Psalm 116. An intriguing album, classily produced and packaged.
