Simon is the children's pastor at St Paul's Church in Ealing, with a passion "to see kids of all ages love God, encounter Jesus and live a life of worship." The Allstars kids from St P's provide backing vocals. This is an energetic collection of 12 songs, many written by Parry himself, with lead vocal input too from adult music professionals Nicki Rogers and Eoghan Heaslip. I am relieved to report this is not one of those kids albums full of computer generated muzak backing, but features real musical instruments, played in a rocky style likely to have an appeal beyond the Sunday school. The first two tracks focus on God's love for us, the title track and "Best Best Friend", which are followed by "God So Loved The World" before moving to the themes of holiness, trust and worship, before coming full circle with "Lord You Love Me" and "Your Love". The disc comes with PDFs of the music for all the tracks. A useful resource. I can well imagine a number of these songs creeping into family services throughout the UK.
