This is a metal-influenced hardcore, “metalcore”, EP. It was produced at Poynter’s Place - the production home of albums from the likes of Zao and Living Sacrifice. This says something about the direction the music takes, as well as the production quality. The music, including the main vocal style, goes beyond hardcore into darker metal territory which is interesting and it works. And yet there is a strong melodic element to the music and the vocals (proper singing). This all goes to make hardcore much more listenable-to. The words seem to lean towards stream-of-consciousness obscurity but the music is never less than listenable. These guys will go far, so long as they don’t slew off into emo.
