STYLE: Hip-Hop RATING OUR PRODUCT CODE: 168937-26561 LABEL: Independent FORMAT: CD Album

On his latest release the Washington DC-based emcee shares with his listeners a personal journey, with its detours, presenting a map of moving from darkness to light. The collection has an odd start, a poor quality demo "Running To You" lasting nearly six minutes - the vocals are almost drowned by the keyboards. Track two "The Longest Fall" (featuring Kayla Starks) however, sets the album on its path, presenting an artist creating engaging hip hop while covering subjects such as disappointment and temptation, and encouragement in tracks like "Road To Redemption". I especially enjoyed "Autumn" which, over a laidback beat and intermittent piano, explores changing seasons in our lives. This album ranges from the poor to the very, very good so a seven square rating is about right.
