Reviewed by Ian Hayter My heart sank when I opened the jiffy bag and this dropped out. I don't have a particularly soft spot for US kids' worship songs, so the disc went rather reluctantly in to the CD player. The instrumental introduction to the first track was great - upbeat and bassy - but I feared the entrance of the children's voices. The lead vocal was good, and the kids' choir, I have to say, was very, very good. As the album played on, I became more and more impressed. This is wonderful stuff! There are great arrangements of some great songs from Beth and Matt Redman ("Blessed Be Your Name"), Paul Baloche and Don Moen ("Thank You, Lord") and Tommy Walker ("This God, He Is Our God"), along with nine other uplifting and well produced new songs (the Redman song is the oldest). The band is very good, with thumping bass, great guitars and a swirling Hammond B3, and the vocal arrangements, shared by adult worship leaders and a bunch of clearly very enthusiastic kids, are pretty slick. I'm not sure my conversion to American kids' praise is complete, but this will certainly help. Buy it and enjoy!
